Olive relaxed beside her picnic lunch from seven minutes past one in the afternoon till dark. She chewed lazily, savouring the chicken and washing it down with the coke. When finished, she opened a tin of biscuits, her favourite chocolate cookies. Then she removed the licence plates from front and back and placed them beside the suitcases. When there was just enough light to recognise the bushes as hazy masses, she started the car. Gingerly, she drove through the woods and up the incline to the edge of the pond. There she halted, leaving the engine running.
